My Services

  • Choose my Copy Editing services if your manuscript or other body of text is complete and ready for another set of eyes. My rate is determined based on the work's length, deadline, and completeness. Expect $0.035–$0.050 per word as provided at the time of submission.

What does a copy editor do? We perform line-editing of completed text, usually in Word or a Google Doc. Standard edits include spelling, punctuation, grammar, content consistency (i.e., names and other characteristics of people or characters), and other details that polish your drafted text.

What doesn’t a copy editor do? Copy editors do not engage in content editing or writing unless previously discussed, meaning you must provide finished text. If, upon review of your submission, the text appears incomplete or too rough for copy editing, I will then discuss either a content editing rate so that I can refine your text for you, or I will send it back and request a more finalized draft. I will never add surprise charges for additional services once I’ve begun my work without direct communication.

  • Choose my Proofreading services if your text is copy-edited and prepared in its final format (common examples include books, eBooks, articles, presentations, reports, and theses). My rate is determined based on the document's length, deadline, and completeness. Expect $5–$20 per page or slide as provided at the time of submission.

What does a proofreader do? Proofreading is the final editing stage before sending your document to the publisher, printer, website, etc. We perform document and line-editing of completed and formatted text, usually in Word, PDF, Canva, or eBook publishing software. Standard proofreading edits include checking style and formatting details such as margins, fonts, alignments, headings and paragraphs, indexes, page numbers, headers and footers, etc.

I include light copy editing in my proofreading review, meaning that I also check spelling, punctuation, content consistency (i.e., names and other characteristics of people or characters), and further details that polish your final product. I want to provide the most refined product possible if you choose to put it in my care.

What doesn’t a proofreader do? Proofreaders generally do not engage in writing or content- or copy-editing unless previously discussed, meaning you must provide finished and formatted text. If, upon review of your submission, the document appears incomplete or too rough for proofreading, I will then discuss either a content and / or copy editing rate so that I can refine your text for you, or I will send it back and request a more finalized document. I will never add surprise charges for additional services once I’ve begun my work without direct communication.

  • Choose my Media Design services if your text is copy-edited and you have all media assets (photos, videos, etc.), but you still need to piece it all together for a magazine article, PDF, presentation, or other document formats. My rate is determined based on the work's length, deadline, and completeness. Expect $35–$100 per hour.

I have been creating and designing articles for print and digital magazines since 2007. I use Canva and Adobe, but sometimes also Google Docs or Slides, depending on the destination and creators’ access to shared platforms. Proofreading services are included in my Media Design rate.

If your content is incomplete, we can discuss how I can help gather the necessary assets and how much it will cost before I start designing your piece.

  • Choose my Manifestation services if you have a concept but need someone to help bring your vision from dream to reality. I will work with you at every stage — from conceptualizing your idea to strategizing the best path to success. Some communities call this role a “doula,” a person dedicated to supporting a pregnant person throughout the birthing process. You can think of me as your book doula, there to guide you through everything from the moments of writer’s block to the joyous celebration as you hold your story in your hands.

This personalized, time-intensive service puts all of my editing, design, marketing, and project management skills to use and, therefore, costs the most of all of my services. Expect between $50–$200 per hour, as determined on a case-by-case basis.
